Also important, our kitchen is run today exactly as our founder, Dorothy Gastel, ran hers, and the watchword is immaculate. Both Dorothy and her husband, Robert, were demanding of absolutely clean environments. Both at home and at the store, Dorothy too upheld the highest standards in cleanliness. Today our employees follow all requirements for health standards for food handlers — and more. And our kitchens are spic and span at all times.
